Across 2026, the Motherless Collective (MoCo) is running a series of free drag workshops for First Nations and Bla(c)k queer people who want to explore drag in a culturally safe, community-led space.

Join MoCo for a two-day drag experience exploring character, performance and self-expression.
Friday’s 5 Senses of Drag workshop focuses on building your drag persona through storytelling, identity and creative exploration.
On Saturday, we’ll host a relaxed, hands-on “Kiki with MoCo” session, followed by an evening showcase where participants are invited to share their work in a supportive, low-pressure environment.

Curious about drag or looking to deepen your creative practice?
The 5 Senses of Drag is a 3-hour workshop exploring how to build a drag persona from the inside out. Through guided exercises, you’ll use sound, smell, taste, touch and sight to develop character, aesthetic and performance ideas.
This is a low-pressure, discussion-led space focused on inspiration, storytelling and creative development.

Join MoCo for a creative development workshop exploring drag through identity, storytelling and sensory practice.
Using the five senses as a framework, this session will help you shape your drag character, refine your ideas and explore new creative directions in a supportive, community-led space.
Open to all experience levels.
